H.E. Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, Mr. Gil da Costa Alves, MBA had also another meeting with H.E. Secretary-General of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Mr. Taleb Rifai concerning the request from Timor Leste to UNWTO in promoting the President of RDTL to join hands with world’s leaders and add his voice to UNWTO effort to position tourism higher in the global agenda.

H.E Secretary-General of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Mr. Taleb Rifai was mentioning that for the next year UNWTO ready to assist Timor Leste to organize International conference on Tourism Development in particular for the Island States such as Timor Leste, Pacific Islands, Caribbean Islands as well as other Island countries, the international conference itself will be hosted by the government of Timor Leste.
