The launching of the salt factory

Government launched the first production of Salt. Gil Alves : salt of Timor is ready to compete in the market.
The Minister of TCI Gil da Costa Alves, in this launching said that, such production is a mean to reduce the import of salt and also to show the world that the Timorese can also produce alone. Minister Gil, also stressed that, Manatuto is like the first district who founded the Salt industry of East Timor and the factory of electronica, and Mantuto can give advantage to other districts.
"I ask to the people of Mantuto for the seriousness to such production and the factory that already created in this district, so that together we can show the world that the Timorese can also produce by their own, beginning with Manatuto," said Minister Gil. The Minister of TCI was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Development Mr. Cristiano, directors of MTCI, local authorities and the population of Manatuto.
The company's manager of Belak Salt, João Alves, who is responsible for this production, thank ed to all the support that the Government through MTCI gave to that company to help the Government to prevent the import and create opportunitirs for job to Timorese. At the same time also the district administrator of Manatuto, asked people to work together in achieving the ideals of the East Timorese people, so to affirm by themselves in mutual support in this production to proceed forward.
