Exhibition of local products in Takato -Japan

JAPAN- A group of Japanese women, in Takato, Japan, promoted local products of Timor-Leste, such as coffee and traditional tais of Timor in the Takato Park festival, which was held in the city of Ina, the birthplace of Mr. Ambassador of Japan in Timor-Leste, Iwao Kitahara, on 14th November 2010. The promotion of local products of TL by third time in Japan, was participated by 12 (twelve) delegations from Takato town in the city of Ina Japan, which in the month of August passed also participated on the celebrations day of Timor-Leste Independence Proclamation by 35 th time.
Rhe twelve delegations took Timor local products such as coffee and tais to make this traditional festival as promotion for the 3rd time. Through this letter, the Ambassador of Japan did reach the first Minister of RDTL Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, transmitting the message to MTCI saying that the people of Japan felt very pleased with the products that the Group of women presented .
"On the 14th November 2010, a group of women from Takato, who sold coffee and tais of Timor at the festival which took place for the second time in Takato to promote products of Timor, and actually were greatly appreciated by many people. With this idea, the 12 members of this delegation, had bought some products of East Timor to organise the promotion for the third time.
This location from my homeland, Takato of Ina City, is a small town. However, this promotion constitutes one of the major opportunities for people in Takato and also to all visitors to understand about the Timorese. Visitors who came to takato, saw TL products, and become familiar and make ftendship with TL, " said Ambassador Iwao Kitahara. (Media-MTCI).
