Direcção Nacional da Indústria

1.    The National Directorate of Industry, as designated by DNI is to conceive, implement and evaluate the policy sector of industry and support the modernization of business structures.

2.    The DNI pursues the following assignments:

a)      Designing, executing and evaluating industrial policy;

b)      Support the Government in the negotiations and decisions on international bodies in areas under his tutelage to suit the interests of national economic policy;

c)      Give an opinion on the implementation of policies and measures of incentives to potential investors and, in General, companies in the industrial sector;

d)      Provide assistance and technical support to private sector and national cooperative, preferably through programme contracts, with well-defined objectives and timing;

e)      Permits, licensing, registration, monitor and inspect in collaboration with other services inspection procedures, industrial activities, assessing the effects of the measures taken  recorded in government policies;

f)       Maintain and administer a database Center, for  information and documentation, promoting the publication and dissemination about themes superiorly defined and approved;

g)      The training capacities of functionaries to increase knowledge and qualification in coordination and management framework and human resources of the Ministry;

h)      Proposing to repeal the license on the performance of industrial activities, when appropriate;

i)        Propose the qualification and classification of industrial projects;

j)       Organize and administer the register of industrial projects;

k)      Analyze and give opinion  and provide advice and recommendations on draft installations and operation of industrial enterprises;

l)        Promote the development  of industrial activities through realization  of national and internacional seminaries and helps, within budgets possibilities , for vocational and training institutions;

m)    Technical advice on planning and developing programs and legislation;

n)      Organize and administer the registerof industrial property;

o)      Submit plan and annual activity report;

p)         Any other activities that are assigned to it under law or delegated by the Minister.
