General Inspectorate of Games 1. The General Inspectorate of Games, hereinafter IGJ, aims to exercise the functions of supervision inspection in the activity of social and fun games of fortune or chance, apart from fulfilling legal norms that regulates those activities, monitor the implementation of obligations arising from licensing and contracts granting; 2. The IGJ is directed by an Inspector-General of the games, assisted by two sub inspectors general, assimilated, for all legal purposes, the Director-General and the national directors, respectively. 3. The IGJ pursues the following assignments: a) Providing technical support, social gaming, amusement or chance, the Minister of tutelage, under status of main advisory body of Government decision support; b) Inspect all exploitation activities and games and diversions, doing to comply with applicable legal and contractual clauses; c) Formulate proposals, to the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, for the adoption of measures relating to licensing, access and the tax regime of games and their revenue distribution; d) Monitor in cooperation with the police, betting or any related modalities of social games and entertainment; e) Supervise the accounting systems and the holdings of the games and other amusement and writing commercial entities that are allowed to explore the games and diversions and appraisal of their economic and financial situation; f) To research and the conduct of proceedings by the alleged infringement whose jurisdiction is legally assigned, including the application of administrative penalties for offences provided for in legislation governing the operation and practice of social games and other entertainment; g) Perform any other functions prescribed by law or by order of the Minister of Tourism, Trade and industry.
