S.E. MTCI, Gil da Costa Alves, tambem se encontrou com S.E. o Secretario Geral das Nacoes Unidas para Organizacao Mundial do Turismo (UNWTO), Taleb Rifai em relacao a solicitacao de Timor Leste a mesma organizacao da projecao do Presidente de RDTL como uma das vozes dos lideres mundiais na Organizacao visando a promocao do turismo ao mais alto nivel da agenda global.

S.E. o Secretario Geral das Nacoes Unidas da UNWTO, menciona que no proximo ano a Instituicao estara pronta a ajudar TL na organiZacao da Conferencia Internacional do Desenvolvimento do Turismo em particular das Ilhas Estados como TL, Ilhas do Pacifico, Caraibas bem como as outras nacoes insulares, a mesma confrencia sera organizado pelo Governo de TL
